In Nigeria, FHI is engaged in providing public health services and implementing programs in HIV/AIDS, TB, reproductive health, malaria, and health systems strengthening in partnership with the Government of Nigeria.   • Clinical services Officer
    With the Senior Medical Services Officer, the Clinical Services Officer will provide technical and programmatic support to implement high quality care and support activities with primary focus on clinica(*%#management of HIV/AIDS and prevention of mother to child transmission of HIVIAIDS (PMTCT} at the zonal and state levels.
    Key Responsibilities
    •Provide day to day technical and programmatic support related to clinical management or HIVI AIDS at the facility level, guided by slralegies and approaches related to the implementation programs
    •With the Senior Medical Service Officer, coordinate the implementation of components related to clinical management of HIVlAtDS and PMTCT at the facility level
    •Provide technical assistance in HIV/AIDS clinical management capacily building and PMTCT at the facility level
    •Contribute to the development of lessons learned from programs and projects related to clinical management of HIV/AIDS and PMTCT and apply these lessons to modify existing programs and improve the design of new programs
    •Assisl in strengthening a system of reporting on program progress against stated objectives and monitoring and evaluation frameworks
    •Contribute to the development of program strategies, SUb-project documents, work plans and budgets
    •Assist in the provision of programmatic assistance to loca! partners in programming HIV/AIOS/STI activities
    Minimum Requirements
    •MBSS/MD with 1-3 years experience in clinical care
    •Sound understanding of HIV/AIDS with provision of antiretroviral therapy in resource¬constrained settings
    •3-5 years experience following postgraduate degree in public health is desirable
    •Familiarity with the Nigerian public sector health system, NGOs and CBOs will be an advantage

  • Monitoring and Evaluation Officer Health Informatics
     The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer Hearth Informatics, under the supervision of the Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer Health Informatics and the Associate DirectorM&E. will assist in the development implementation, supervision and data use of all FHl's electronic information systems at the facility, zonal and country office levels.

    Electronic Information System Tool Development and lmplerrrentation

    •Help provide technical support for the design and content development for electronic information systems (LAMIS. KidMAP, referral database, PDA applications and any other FHI software or database tools) used for M&E

    Assist the software programming te
    Ensure that all software development is done according to akeadyestabHshed standards and procedures

    Ensure that all software and database tools developed meet the intended reporting and data output requirements for both internal use and donorslGoN

    Conduct assessments of health informatics environments, synthesize pertinent information, identify implications for planning and development, and provide recommendations to FHI management

    Coordinate and supervise the deployment of the developed M&E software and database tools to new sites as identified by FHI management

    Develop standard operating procedures, user manuals and data management procedure documents for all of FHl's electronic information systems

    Ensure proper coordination of electronic information systems planning, development and Implementation between the Ministry of Health departments, units and appropriate external organizationsPrepare timely progress and periodic reports on information systems tool development and implementation

    Data Use: Analysis and Reporting

    •Analyze all data collected in FHl's electronic information systems for•M&E and provide
    •vel by working with the SP01SSBCA to coordinate appropriate SBe technical assistance for zonal program activities. NGOs feedback in the form of data anatysis meetings, abstracts, technical reports and peer¬reviewed journal articles in collaboration with M&E Department staff as well as with staff of other departments
    Minimum Requirement
    •MD with advanced degree in public health, epidemiology, health information
    management ormedicine (strong background in epidemiology, biostatistics or M&E)
    •3-5 years experience in HIV/AIDS and/orTB programs in developing countries
    •Experience working at the nalionallevel on health programs
    " Knowledge and experience with data collection and utilization
    •Ability to analyze and assess needs related to health information systems and training
    •High attention to detail
    •Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    Experience working with local partners, including local NGOs and CBOs and knOWledge of the local context
    •Familiarity with USAID programs is preferred

  • Strategic Behavior Communication officer
    Under Ihe djreclion of the Senior Program Officer (SPO}/Senior Strategic Behavior Communication Advisor, the SBC Officer will coordinate all Strategic Behavior and Corporate Communications (SB&Cq activities of the zonal office with particular emphasis on abstinence/be faithful/other prevention and corporate image making activities.
    Key Responsibilities
    " Work with Ihe Senior Sirategic Behavior Communication Advisor (SBCA) to coordinate the development orSBCfCC/IEC/media materials for the zonal program


    •Coordinate the development of communications materials and participate in their review and comment on print and electronic media materials inclUding scripts, posters, leaf lets. and video/audio recordings

    •Work with relevant stakeholders in HIVlAlDS/STIITB prevention. Care. Support and treatment by working towards increasing knowledge and creating demand for HIV counseling and testing. treatment services and products using different activities and strategies

    Minimum Requirements

    Bachelers degree or higher diploma in health communication/promotion. Mass communication. Social work, public relations, advertising, media. Broadcasting, English, journalism, languages and linguistics or behavioral science with demonstrated ability to manage SSC activities in a large. complex health-related project

    •Or general arts. PUblic health, management, marketing, environmental. natural or social sciences with at least 3 years experience in health communication/promotion, pUblic relations, journalism, advertising, media, broadcasting or marketing in a similar setting
    •At least 5 years post-NYSC work experience
    •A masters degree with 3 years experience will be considered
    •Professional membership of relevant professional bodies such as APCON, NIPR and

    NIM will be an advantage
